Purification
Parker domnick hunter is a world leader in the filtration, purification and separation of compressed air and gases with many significant brand labelled products and major customers. Specialising in the fine end of the market where product quality, support and technological excellence are paramount, it designs and manufactures filters, dryers, breathing air purifiers, condensate management and ancillary equipment.
Parker domnick hunter is instrumental in the development of both the international standards for compressed air and filter testing, and continues to work closely on new standards with such governing bodies as the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS), the International Standards Organisation (ISO), PNEUROP, and the Compressed Air and Gas Institute (CAGI).
Compressed Air Purification
Parker domnick hunter high efficiency OIL-X EVOLUTION filters provide the complete solution for the removal of solid contamination, liquid oil and water droplets, oil odours and vapours to levels so low that only the most advanced equipment can detect any remaining contaminants. Typically, Parker domnick hunter filters can remove contaminant particles down to one hundredth of one millionth of a metre (0.01 micron) in size - 4,000 times smaller than the smallest particle visible to the naked eye!.
OIL-X EVOLUTION filters are the most energy efficient compressed air filters in the World, and industries rely on this level of technology for trouble free, efficient production.
Whilst filters can remove solid and liquid contamination, they cannot remove water vapour which must be removed with a compressed air dryer.
It is not usually cost effective or necessary to dry all the plant air to the highest standard and it is normal practice to dry the ring main air with a refrigeration dryer, and only dry the air for the critical point of use applications with a desiccant dryer.
Parker domnick hunter pioneered and patented the first ranges of PNEUDRI modular desiccant dryers which are still today’s benchmark, thousands being in service World-wide. Some critical applications require a pressure dewpoint of minus 70?C pdp, however, most customers opt for minus 40?C pdp, because below minus 26?C pdp, bacterial growth is inhibited and therefore cannot contaminate processes or spoil end products.
Safe Breathing Air
Respiratory protection from air borne contamination is essential for the health and comfort of workers. Simple respirators are limited in their application but compressed air purified to breathing air standards can be used to protect against any form of contamination. |
